REINCARNATION OF SPACE
A SECOND LIFE FOR THE FORGOTTEN
Project Outline
I was the Project Leader and my responsibilities included planning and organising the exhibition, and to ensure everyone is performing at their best as they complete this exhibition. Our final project is led by Miss Denise Lee, our program leader of Faculty of Architecture and Built Environment and module coordinator. The Granary, hosts the events and places itself perfectly within the main theme, as it was used as a warehouse to store Belian barrels during its history, and is finally being reincarnated 2 years ago.
Objective
The numerous examples of newly constructed disused or unfinished (and therefore unused/abandoned) buildings represent a vital issue nowadays. The significance of these structures is in the impact they have on the environment and on the life of citizens living around them. With the increasing awareness of the shortage of space, resources and structures, this phenomenon has now become an emergency. The objective of this project for us interior designers was to reincarnate the dead spaces, preserving their identity and their memory in recent history.
Goals
The goal of the project was to imagine new future scenarios based on a creative and holistic design approach, enabling the neglected places to become once more accessible by imagining how their social and cultural connections could be renewed.

LEGO is a line of plastic construction toys that are manufactured by the lego group.

Hokkien is a dialect of southern Min Chinese that is also spoken in Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, and the Philippines.
The site for this particular project is located at The Old Courthouse, Kuching.
